Follow the steps below to update your extWARN installation:
If you are running extWARN version 3.24 or greater:
- 1) Stop IIS on your web server to unload the existing extWARN
program files, and to ensure that no users access them during
the update process
- 2) Download EW_330U.ZIP
and unzip its contents to the extWARN program folder on your
web server, overwriting the existing extWARN.DLL file
- 3) Run UPDATE.BAT from the extWARN program folder by
double-clicking it in Windows® Explorer
- 4) Restart IIS and access the extWARN administration console
as normal via your web browser ... you should see the new
version number ("extWARN 3.30") displayed at the bottom of
the Broadcast tab
If you are running an extWARN version older than 3.24:
- 1) Stop IIS on your web server to unload the existing extWARN
program files, and to ensure that no users access them during
the update process
- 2) Back-up the existing extWARN program folder on your web
server
- 3) Uninstall the existing extWARN version via the Add/Remove
Programs control panel
- 4) Download and install the latest extWARN demo version
- 5) Copy your backed-up extWARN\Data folder to the new extWARN
program folder (this will convert the demo into a licensed
version)
- 6) Restart IIS and access the extWARN administration console
as normal via your web browser
